Project description: Bamboo walkway in the Jerusalem nature reserve

Project overview: In the heart of the Jerusalem nature reserve, an impressive 3 km long walkway made of bamboo decking has been completed. This innovative project aims to preserve the natural beauty of the surroundings while offering visitors an eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing way to explore the breathtaking landscape.

Materials and construction: The walkway was crafted from high-quality bamboo decking in an IPE color tone. These boards are not only durable and resilient, but also a strong alternative to conventional materials due to the rapid growth of the raw material. The bamboo boards were mounted on a sturdy metal substructure, which ensures high stability and longevity while allowing for harmonious integration into the natural environment.

Lighting: To ensure the walkway remains accessible and safe during the evening hours, it is flanked by solar-powered path lights. These lights provide soft illumination and contribute to visitor safety, all while being powered by solar energy.
