Bathing platform and boat dock

De Boer & De Groot has for the Alliantie Markermeerdijken took over the detailed planning, delivery and installation of two new docks in Hoorn: a floating dock and a boat dock. The footbridges are part of the new city beach created by Allianz on behalf of Gemeente Hoorn built. The new jetty is located at the head of the (third) breakwater on the new city beach in Hoorn. From this breakwater, you can also reach the boat dock, which is located perpendicular to the dam in the so-called Galgenbocht.

This boat dock is 80 meters long and 2 meters wide in total. The floating pier is about 30 meters long, measures 10.5 meters at its widest point and consists of several platforms. The substructure of the scaffolding was made of steel. The connections between these can be dismantled in order to preserve the rock deposit in the future. The deck is fitted with AMBOOO bamboo decking and continues across the steel structure so that there are as few obstacles as possible on the running surface. The special installation method of bamboo profiles sets standards both functionally and aesthetically and is a real eye-catcher.
