FAQ

Why is bamboo considered sustainable?

Bamboo is a sustainable super plant because it...

  • grows up to 1m a day and thus offers huge resources
  • is undemanding in growth and requires little water, no fertilizer or pesticides
  • 35% more oxygen than trees produce
  • Absorbs and stores 6x more CO2 than trees
  • Does not die when harvested, but sprouts again
  • provides protection against erosion due to its dense roots
  • provides socio-economic benefits as a source of income in economically weaker regions
  • saves resources due to the durability of the products
  • protects (rain) forests as an alternative to hard and tropical woods

AMBOOO bamboo: The high-tech wonder for your outdoor area

Why AMBOOO when there is so much bamboo on the market? It's simple: Because we not only sell bamboo, but have been selling it for over 30 years of perfecting. While others are still experimenting, we use our specialized HCS procedure Standards in terms of durability and aesthetics.

This makes AMBOOO the market leader for outdoor bamboo:

  • Real highland bamboo: Our raw material grows at altitudes of 500 to 1,000 meters. As a result of slower growth in these layers, bamboo develops an extremely high density and natural strength.
  • The HCS (High Compression Strand) process: In a precisely balanced process of temperature and time, we remove the sugar from the material. The result? A beautiful caramel shade, maximum resistance to fungi and the highest durability class 1.
  • Precision down to the last detail: From optimal pressure of the profiles to finishing with our specially developed in Germany bamboo care oil — we control every ingredient and every step.
  • Largest selection of colors on the market: Functionality meets design. We offer you the widest range of colors in the industry and can even implement individual customer solutions upon request.

Sustainably. Technically superior. Unique.

AMBOOO bamboo products are more than just a building material — they are a highly technical, sustainable building material that is built to last (or at least for very, very many summers). With 30 years of experience, we know exactly what's in our products so you can sit back and relax.
